Blogger Of The Month: The January Man!

Churros, chapstick and tater tots…oh my! It’s time for my very first Blogger of the Month award!

There are no prerequisites for what makes someone my Blogger of the Month. Once it could be about how well a person waxes prosaic while another it could simply be that their layout did not bug the shit out of me. You know, I’m kind of picky like that. Anywayyyy….this month I picked the person who consistently puts a smile on my face and almost always makes me giggle and snort. Sure, his blog is almost better because I’ve met him in person but even if I had not, I’d be riveted. The great thing about his blog is that if you know a few basic facts….like that he is a newlywed and obsesses over all things Google, then you can pretty much catch up. It’s not like some blogs where you feel sort of lost in the beginning.

Oh do you want a name maybe? Yes yes, that’s a good idea at this point in time. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you January’s Blogger of the Month: The one and only Dustin from Cotters In My Tummy. Why oh why do I love Dustin so much? Well, like I said…he is amusing as hell, and his sarcasm probably surpasses mine. He can turn a phrase with such ease that you’d think no skill was involved. In fact, I’ve often told him that he’s like the brother I never had since our erm…”snark factor” is similar. Hell, he got his “Churro Boy” nickname because he laughed at something truly awful I said, which shall stay private!

So anyway, please please please….if you are looking for a new and extremely fresh (fresher than a new episode of Smallville on The CW) blog to read, go visit Cotters In My Tummy.     Oh Hilly Sue, our little Churro has done all grown up and won himself a Blogger of The Month Award! A perfect first choice, really… here’s looking forward to meeting up again at TequilaCon 2008. Hopefully they have tater tots in Philly…

    Oh man, the accolades…it’s like the time I was elected vice-president of my high school choir, only this time people don’t laugh at me when I tell them!

    Seriously though, Hilly you are far too kind. The badge is beyond perfect and I think I may have to convince Dave to somehow incorporate it into my TC’08 flare (maybe if I sleep with him again…).

    Other than that, I’d just like to thank Jesus…not little baby Jesus, but crucified Jesus as shown in the picture above. I know his creepy blue eyes are smiling down from that candle on me today.

    Hilly, this is a great new feature to your blog. I’ve been reading Dustin for some time now, although I don’t comment often. I just don’t have the snark-factor going on. Anyway, this is a much-deserved award and very cool badge, BTW.

    I know what you mean, about being able to jump in and enjoy reading a blog from almost the get-go. A few fun facts, and you’re set! Kyra is that, for me. I hope everyone goes and reads her, and her snarky red-headed humor, every day. She really is amazing in recounting even daily trials.:-)

    I have read Dustin before, and now that he has won this esteemed award? I shall have to swing by and give him another look-see!

    @ Kevin: You just want them all to move to Chicago so they can be closer to you. Besides, my head only encompasses the western half of Seattle…it’s still has a few neighborhoods on the Eastside left to consume. :)
