Ack! I’ve got a few things to catch everyone up on so I thought I would combine the notion of Dave’s Bullet Sunday with my very own Snackie Sunday in order to get it all out there! So basically, I’ve got my peanut butter in Dave’s chocolate! (TWKS) Jinkies, let me shut up and roll that beautiful bean footage:
[ SNACKIE RADIO ]: Please don’t forget to tune in to Snackie Radio today at 2pm Pacific/5pm Eastern for “The Answer Bitches” with special guest-star Turnbaby. She and I will be there to answer any question you throw at us be it big or small! Need advice? Turn to The Answer Bitches! The show will probably run about 1.5 hours, so I hope you all can join us for some hilarity and hijinks! Before my show, Lisa from Clusterfook stars on Secondhand Radio and after my show, mah Davey-Joe stars on Turnbaby Talks!
[ BRITTCON ]: I’m not going after all…not because I don’t want to but because right now, with what is going on at home, it’s just easier not to. I wish I could say more but yanno…I’m already disappointed and stuff. However, this does mean that I get to go to Florida soon!
[ CONTEST WINNERS ]: Remember how I told you that there would be 4 winners total at the end of Blog Reader Appreciation Week? Well…for once in my procrastinating life, I am actually about to reveal the winners on time! Woo to the Hoo! There were two winners for the “ask me a question“ post and also two winner from the “declarations” post.
On this post, you had to ask me a question that I could answer back. I decided to give prizes for the question that I liked the best (read: made me think) and the one that was the most creative (read: made me giggle). And here, my lovelies, are those winners…
1. Favorite Question: TSM wins the $25.00 Amazon Gift Certificate!
2. Most Creative Question: Vahid from Iron Fist wins the orgasmic peanut butter from PB Loco!
On this post, people just had to find three things that they like about themselves. For each person that participated, their name was put on a list then run through the randomizer in order to find a winner! So if you didn’t win, blame the big bad internets, not me! Anyway, here are those winners….
1. Random Winner #1: Shelli wins the $30.00 Amazon Gift Certificate!
2. Random Winner #2: Avitable wins the blue handheld massager and Bec wins the pink one!
Thank you all for participating in Blog Reader Appreciation Week….it was a serious blast!
[ LINKS ]: I hate making a post with tons of links, just so you all know.
[ SNACKIE SUNDAY ]: Yesterday I spent the day out and about with my girl Winter. We had a fabulous time eating, shopping and getting our nails done. And well….you know how it is when women sit in a nail salon for a long period of time….they like to gab! One of the subjects that came up was work and eventually the topics of what kind of a boss we like. So I thought I’d ask you a rather simple question today…

WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE A MALE OR FEMALE BOSS?
I’ve always preferred working for a man. As a matter of fact, I’ve only had two female bosses in my lifetime and believe you me, one of those two was more than enough. It’s no secret that I tend to gravitate towards being friends with men so that may play a slight role here but also? I just find male bosses to be a lot more easy going in general while women bosses tend to be freaking uptight. But hey, that’s just my experience…what about yours?
Hilly Humpsalot Kisses,
Me

Male - I’m like you and tend to have more male friendships. I think it’s because I grew up with two sisters and I’m always searching for my long lost brother.
At least you have Winter to get your nails done with. Last weekend I spent the day with my friend who I have had for over 20 years. I suggested we get pedicures at this reasonably priced place that serves wine. Unfortunately, she only goes to the Red Door Salon where pedicures are $70. WTH??? I guess when you are married with a good job and don’t have children, you can pay that.

A man. Always a man. The women that I worked for were always crazy. Crazy enough to make me quit and find a new job working for a man. Like you though, I have more male friends and just work better with them. Maybe it is the fact that they don’t have all the crazy whoremones, or maybe its because I like that they are laid back and fun. Or maybe I am crazy. Either way, I’d rather work for a man if I had to go back to work any day.

It depends. I’ve had my fair share of good bosses, both male and female. For me it’s all about management style.
Right now I’ve got a micro-managing boss who is a man. The coordinator for my department is a chick and I relate to her so much better than my boss.
But when my female boss is sleeping with the male co-owner of the company, I hated them both. So I guess it’s all about perspective, eh?

The two worst bosses I’ve ever had were female (both total psycho bitches). But so were the two best bosses I’ve ever had. In my experience, women tend to be control-freak micromanagers, while men tend to be incompetent buck-passers. And most bosses seem to live in a fantasy world in regard to the workflow and what’s actually doable.
I’m extremely happy to say NONE of that applies to my current bosses, who are stellar.

Yay! I won!
I have had both female and male bosses. My supervisor right now is a woman and she is absolutely the awesomest boss I have ever had. However, that has gone the opposite way with other woman bosses that I have had. I don’t think that I have ever had a bad male bosses, although I work around some of them. It’s hard for me to say because I work for a male doctor, but he’s not really my boss. Either way, I really like him and we get along well.

I’m leaning towards male. That might be because most of my long-term boss relationships have been male, but also because I’ve been in those situations with female bosses where I feel like it’s a competition - like she needed to prove something. That’s not a fun person to work under.

COMMENT WHORE! hi.
I have had a SEVERELY SHITTY male boss, but he was put into that role to be a bulldog for one task and one task only that had NOTHING to do with me, and he replaced the best female boss I ever had. Later in life I worked with him on a different project outside of the work environment and thought he was a terrific guy… it’s all about playing to strengths. His strength is not being my boss. I’m too much for a lot of people. (I’m very different at work than in my personal life.)

Male, probably because I’ve always gotten along better than men.
My last male boss was a total ass though. He wasn’t happy unless he was making everyone around him miserable. Seriously. The more unhappy you were, the bigger he smiled. We actually got along before he was my boss but when I took a promotion that put me in his department I became his biggest target. Then he hit on me and when I turned him down he became worse. Most of my other male bosses were great though, and most I would work for again.
I can’t think of a single female boss that I could ever work for again. Which is why I am, thankfully, my own boss.

As you know, I had a female in my last job. She hired me, she was wonderful, until she got promoted to Executive Director. I still liked her. I just didn’t like the way she wouldn’t tell me what the priorities were. I learned a lot from her tho, so it all evened out I guess. My boss now is what the blogosphere would call hot. He’s very laid back tho and doesn’t like to confront. So I end up having issues. I like him a lot, but I wish he’d just learn to deal with the stuff that’s going on instead of hiding in his office.
I deal better with men too usually because they often have less emotional crap and are more straightforward about stuff. Oh, and if Dave’s only looking for meaningless sexual encounters, I can always pretend to be his boss. Meaningless sex is right up my alley!

At the moment I have two bosses. The male is incredible in bed, he’s good with a vaccuum, and let’s me take off when I want.
The other is female. She is funny, smart, and gorgeous. She let’s me stay in bed if I want and I can play all day with crayons, play-doh and such.
Boss#1 is Hubs. And yeah, sometimes I have to answer phones and do paperwork, but the perks are nice.
Boss#2 is me. You’ve met her. What do you think?

I’ve had both female and male bosses, and they both have been either wonderful, or they have sucked.
I’ve had MORE female bosses, and I’d say 80% of them have been absolutely great…really laid back and funny, easy to get along with. The other 20% have been backstabbing bitches.
Male wise, I think it’s the same percentage, actually. Except, I’m fairly certain that one of them was gay, so does that count? I mean, he was married w/ a kid, but OH was he denying his true nature! He’d compliment my shoes and purses. Yeah. Um….yeah.
But, honestly…I think it has more to do w/ the person than their sex. Men can be backstabbing bitches, too…believe me.

Can I choose the be my own boss option? I like that one best! I’ve had a couple of great female bosses, but most of my bosses have been male and I think I like it better that way. It’s actually kind of a toss-up because it really depends on the individual.
June 22nd, 2008 at 1:16 pm
Well, I prefer female employees because I think they do a better job. I don’t know about a boss, though - I’ve had mixed experiences with both genders.

And I’m totally massaging my balls with that massager. Let me know if you need my address.

I like an understanding, compassionate boss. One who recognizes that life sometimes gets in the way and is flexible to that. But also is clear in what they expect of me, and will let me know, in a respectful manner, if I’m not living up to that. For the most part, the bosses I’ve had that have lived up to this have been female. But, in general, I’ve been lucky and had pretty good bosses across the board.

I have both a male and a female boss (family business) but I do get on better with my male boss. He’s just more easygoing and approachable. My female boss is a bit of a diva which makes it difficult to complete work to her satisfaction; so lately, I’ve been questioning my ability to do the job. C’est la vie.
I’m so glad Bec won something. She is a cutie!
