Snackie Sunday: Whistle While You Work

Usually I have some huge story that precedes the weekly Snackie Sunday question, right?  Yeah…not so much this week.  The thing is that this question came to me as I was trying very hard to keep a pleasant mood all day Saturday while doing some work stuff.  To say I’ve been the poster child for PMS these last couple of days would be putting it *mildly*, truth be told.  Knowing that, I tried hard to stay level headed and not let the beastie within come out to play.  In order to do so, I kept singing “Whistle While You Work”.

Which brings me to…

IF YOU WERE ONE OF THE SEVEN DWARFS, WHICH ONE WOULD YOU BE?
(Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sneezy, Sleepy, Bashful, or Doc)

Before I give my answer, I just want to say that clearly I am Snow White.  I mean…duh!  I’d be the dumb ass girl in the forest, wanting to believe that people are kind and altruistic therefore taking some fugly ass bitch’s apple with no second thought.  I mean, yanno…plus there’s the whole “shacking up with seven dudes” thing.  Honestly, this has nothing to do with being the fairest of them all because let’s face it…I’d look at the mirror and say, “Wow Mirror, you are so full of shit today, aren’t you?  What do you want?”.  However, for the sake of playing fair, I would have to say that my dwarfy equal is Doc. I mean, just look at the description I kyped from the Disney Vault:

If the Seven Dwarfs have a leader, it has to be Doc (though he’s far too good-natured to ever make it official). When there’s an important decision to be made, Doc is usually the one to make it. Doc’s mind often works faster than his mouth when he’s excited, but his judgment’s always sound. Doc takes it upon himself to convince his fellows that the hardships they must endure in allowing Snow White to stay are worth it — even that strange custom of washing up. And only he knows how to get that “old warthog” Grumpy into the wash trough. Sometimes Doc himself doesn’t know how wise he is. As the dwarfs leave for the mine after Snow White arrives, he warns Snow White, “Now don’t forget, my dear, the old Queen’s a sly one, full of witchcraft. So beware of strangers.”

Seriously! That’s me! He’s not just a smart one…he’s cunning in his own way. I like that about Doc.  Yep, if I can’t be Snow White then he’s my guy.  But what about you?  Which one would be be or which do you identify with most?  If you need help remembering what each dwarf is about, The Disney Vault has some great descriptions!

    OK. So I clicked on over to the Vault even though ole Walt scares the bejeezus out of me. I mean the man was kind of racist and misogynistic. Then again perhaps at the time that he joined the John Birch Society, these were desirable attributes.

    Enough of that though. I am probably a mixture of Dopey and Doc.

    Dangit! Adam took my reply!! I had it all figured out how I, a not so tall man, was actually considered for the movie.

    See, those characters were all based on real short dudes. But in the end Walt said they couldn’t use a dwarf named Horny, because every time the writers tried to seal Snow White up in that glass case, the animators kept sticking me in there with her.

    So in the end a small group of us, Itchy, Blinky, Drooly and Horny were rejected and walked away in search of a bar full of women and alcohol. The next day you might have read about the four guys who got their asses kicked in a Lesbian bar. It was a bad week back then, I hope your week gets better.

    I was GOING to say Happy, but after I read the descriptions, I think I would say Bashful more describes me. Not in the traditional way I think of someone who is bashful, but in the way they wrote the description it is the most accurate for me I think.
